The Battle of Gettysburg was the largest battle on American soil. Fought between Union and Confederate forces,
it turned the tide of war in the Union favor.
The 2011 Gettysburg National Military Park Quarter honors the battle site in Pennsylvania. It shows one of the
monument commemorating those who died in battle. The park also includes the Soldiers’ National Cemetery,
where President Abraham Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address on November 19, 1863.
The Lincoln Presidential Dollar was issued in 2010 to honor Lincoln, who was President in the Civil War.
Both coins were limited editions that are were available for a only a short time.
The Battle of Gettysburg stamp was issued on July 1, 1963, to honor the 100th anniversary of the battle.
This collection will be especially sought-after in 2013, the 150th anniversary of the battle.
