The official 2008 U.S. Proof Set that includes all coins issued in virtually flawless PR69 condition.

Each year, the U.S. Mint releases special “Proof Sets” to collectors.  These coins are struck multiple times on highly polished blanks creating a lusturous frosted appearance. 

The 2008 Proof Set makes for a fabulous collection - it features the LAST Lincoln Memorial Penny, the Nickel, Dime, all five 2008 State Quarters - the LAST of the series, Half Dollar, all four Presidential Dollars - James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson and Martin Van Buren and the LAST Sacagawea Dollar with the Flying Eagle Reverse - all coins from the San Francisco Mints – for a total of 14 coins.  What's more, 2008 marks the LAST year that the motto "In God We Trust" will be featured on the rim of the Presidential Dollars!  In 2009, the Mint will move the motto to the reverse of the coin!  2009 will bring four new Lincoln Penny designs, as well as a new reverse design on the Sacagawea Dollar.

Each of the 14 coins has been individually graded and certified as matching Proof 69 condition.  All coins are graded on a 70-point scale, with 70 being absolute perfection, so this PR69 coin is one of the highest graded sets possible and yet still affordable.  Comes in a deluxe wooden presentation case
