On Nov. 4, 2008, Senator Barack Obama accepted the nomination for President of the United States. "If there is there anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible, who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time, who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer." Own a piece of history with this Brilliant Uncirculated 2008 Silver Eagle Dollar that captures that moment in glorious color.
The Silver Eagle is a genuine legal tender silver bullion coin struck by the United States Mint. The Silver Eagle is struck in one ounce of .999 pure silver and is the largest and heaviest silver coin ever struck by the United States Mint. It is even larger and heavier than a classic U.S. Silver Dollar. The image of Barak Obama has appropriately been placed over Lady Liberty striding forwards in a flowing gown and wrapped by the American flag. The reverse shows a heraldic American eagle.
This coin is not available from the United States Mint. It is a genuine Silver Eagle Dollar that is struck by the United States Mint, but the Mint does not have the capacity to colorize coins. It is colorized privately. However, just a tiny fraction of the 2008 Silver Eagle Dollars are set aside for this colorized special edition, and it is available for a short time only.
The coin comes in a deluxe presentation case with a Certificate of Authenticity.
