Now In: U S Quarters,

The most well-known of the U S Quarters is the Washington Quarter which was first issued in 1932. In honor of the 200th anniversary of George Washington's birth, this coin has been used to pay tribute to one of America's greatest patriots who was fondly considered the "Father of our Nation." Originally struck at the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco mints until 1964, each coin carried the mark of the mint where it was made. The collection of U S Washington Quarters available at FC Mint includes a 1965, 1966, and 1967 quarter which have no mint mark.

Mint marks became visible on all the quarters made from 1968 on, and this collection features U.S. quarters from the only three years where mint marks were not placed on any of the coins. All of the quarters look exactly the same and it isn't possible to determine from which mint either of them came. The coins in this collection are of superior collector quality. The three U.S. quarters come in a custom display wallet and with a Certificate of Authenticity.

In 1999, a very special series of U.S. quarters was introduced to the public. Every year, five quarters were introduced to represent one of the states, in the order they joined the Union. Each coin is struck for about ten weeks and then never made again. At FC Mint, you can find a variety of U.S. state quarters in different sets. Some are 24K gold plated and many are available colorized or with authentic holograms. These are the most popular coins in the United States and the added beauty of the gold plating and holograms make them an even more attractive addition to your coin collection.

Among the U.S. quarters available from the FC Mint, the 2008 PR70 certified silver state quarter set is probably the most desired collection. It contains a coin from the 46th through the 50th states to join the Union. These include Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Alaska and Hawaii. Each is certified in PR70 perfect proof condition by ANACS. These coins are proof coins which means they are specially made using polished blanks that are struck two or more times. This gives the coins a deep cameo image with sharp details on a mirror-like background. Each coin contains .900 silver.

Among the U.S. Quarters are the 2009 24K gold plated D.C. quarter which is in honor of the District of Columbia and the five United states Territories including the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the United States Virgin Islands, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. FC Mint gives you the opportunity to pre-order the first of the U.S. Quarters plated in pure 24 Karat gold.

While the U.S. Quarters of the states are so popular, don't forget the importance of adding the original Washington Silver Quarters to your collection. FC Mint has a collection with the last five years the coins were made. The U.S. mint was forced to quit making the silver coins due to the rising cost of silver bullion, ending the coin's production in 1964.There are a number of U.S. quarters that will make an important contribution to your coin collection and you can feel confident that any of the coins you get from FC Mint will be authentic coins that are coated or colorized in high quality detail.
