The obverse (heads) design of the Presidential $1 Coin features an image of Dwight D. Eisenhower with the inscriptions DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER, IN GOD WE TRUST, 34th PRESIDENT and 1953 1961. The reverse (tails) design of the Presidential $1 Coin depicts a striking rendition of the Statue of Liberty.

The obverse of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Silver Medal features his portrait with the inscription DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER. The reverse of the medal features the figure of Freedom which stands on the dome of the U.S. Capitol. The scene to the right of the figure represents the eastern half of the United States, with a farmer and city buildings beyond the hills. On the right of the figure are the pioneering forefathers blazing the westward trail. Inscriptions included are INAUGURATED PRESIDENT, JANUARY 20, 1953 and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
