The 2025 American Silver Eagle with Eagle Privy Mark is a groundbreaking release, marking the 2nd time in the coin's 38-year history that a Mint State Silver Eagle has featured a privy mark. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, it stands out with a low mintage of only 500,000 coins, making it the lowest-minted bullion Silver Eagle ever produced!
Coin Design
- Obverse - The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman's iconic "Walking Liberty" design, symbolizing freedom and progress. Lady Liberty strides toward the rising sun, draped in the American flag and holding branches of laurel and oak. The star privy mark, included specially for this release, is located near Weinman's initials "AW" on the obverse.
- Reverse - The reverse, designed by AIP Designer Emily Damstra and sculpted by Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso, features a majestic Bald Eagle preparing to land, clutching an oak branch within its talons as if to add it to its nest. The oak branch represents strength and endurance, adding a symbolic layer to the eagle's embodiment of freedom.
Each 2025 (P) $1 1 oz Silver Eagle w/eagle Privy comes certified by NGC as 1 of the 1st 50k release. NGC has also guaranteed that each coin is in flawless condition with a perfect grade of MS70.
CHARACTERISTICS
These classic American coins were redesigned in 2021 to feature an updated obverse (heads side) design, an all-new reverse (tails side) design and additional anti-counterfeiting security features including a variable reeded-edge. These coins also feature a Star Privy Mark, the first privy mark ever used on a bullion coin, making these coins a truly unique addition to any collection.
The obverse (heads side) design is based on legendary sculptor Adolph A. Weinman’s 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar, widely considered one of the most beautiful American coins ever minted. Updated in 2021, the obverse now offers a closer reflection of Weinman’s original vision on the obverse including the addition of histraditional artist’s mark. The redesigned reverse (tails side) features an eagle as it approaches a landing, carrying an oak branch, as if to add to a nest.
