Four Lincoln Pennies are the 2009 issues to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincolns birth; fifth coin is the first-year 2010 Lincoln Penny with the new reverse design of the Union Shield. Each coin is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and is richly layered in 24 karat gold. No specific mint marks are promised. The coins are displayed in a custom collectors coin wallet with a Certificate of Authenticity. The 2009 coins were the first commemorative Pennies in history. They were made only in 2009 and can never be made again.

The first coin honors Lincolns childhood in Kentucky; it features the log cabin where he was born.

The second is a tribute to Lincolns formative years in Indiana and shows young Lincoln reading.

The third depicts Lincolns professional life in Illinois and features him in front of the state capitol building in Springfield.

The fourth coin honors Lincolns Presidency; it shows the unfinished Capitol dome to symbolize a nation divided by the Civil War.

The 2010 coin features the Union shield with a scroll bearing the inscription ONE CENT. The Union shield represents the 13 original states and the power of the federal government. It was a symbol of national unity during the Civil War the defining event of Lincolns Presidency from 1861-65.  The portrait of Lincoln appears on the obverse of all five coins.

These historic coins are now out of issue and are highly sought-after by collectors.  Only a tiny fraction of all 2009 and 2010 coins were set aside for this special gold-plated collection. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
