America the Beautiful® National Parks 5 Piece Quarter New Hampshire

This set of 5 quarters commemorate America's national parks with unique reverse designs and a variety of finishes. In 2010, the United States Mint began a 56 quarter program featuring designs depicting national parks and other national sites as part of the United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Program. Quarters will be issued in the order that they were first established as a national site. The program expected to continue through 2022. The White Mountain National Forest quarter is the first of 2013 and the 16th overall in the America the Beautiful Quarters Program. White Mountain National Forest, located in both New Hampshire and Maine, provides unique and strikingly beautiful landscapes and is one of America’s most visited national forests for its wide array of recreational opportunities and rich natural resources. The White Mountain National Forest includes unique features such as Mt. Washington, the highest peak north of the Smokey Mountains and east of the Mississippi. It was first established as a national site on May 16, 1918 (40 Stat. 1779).
