A famous Union victory, it was the largest battle ever fought on U.S. soil. Gettysburg was also where President Abraham Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address later in 1863. The coin has been layered in pure 24 karat gold.
The 1962 Shiloh stamp was issued on the 100th anniversary of the battle.
