Copper Lincoln Pennies Uncirculated Roll of 50 1

Until 1982, Lincoln Pennies were struck in .950 copper; after 1982, Lincoln Pennies were struck in .992 zinc with a plating of copper.

The Lincoln Penny was first minted in 1909 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s birth.  It was the first circulating coin to feature a real person instead of Lady Liberty.  The obverse of the coin features a portrait of Lincoln by sculptor Victor D. Brenner.  The Lincoln Memorial design first appeared on the reverse in 1959 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Lincoln’s birth.

This is a roll of 50 coins. All coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and were taken directly from original Mint Sets from the U.S. Mint.  Coins for Mint Sets are the highest quality regular-issue coins struck by the U.S. Mint.

This is a great way to start or add to a collection of Lincoln Pennies, as well as the ideal way to get children and grandchildren interested in coin collecting.
