This coin was struck in a long-forgotten U.S. Mint 100 years ago! It can be identified by the small New Orleans O mint mark above DO in dollar on the reverse. The Morgan Silver Dollar is the most-collected of Americas classic coins. It was the favorite silver coin among settlers, outlaws, and prospectors alike in the Wild West because of its large size and massive amount of pure silver. In fact, this is the largest U.S. silver coin ever made for circulation: it is almost 1-1/2 inches in diameter and contains over 3/4 ounce of pure silver. The overall silver purity is the standard .900 pure. This specimen has been graded by an independent third party grading company and is certified to be in MS64 condition.
