Vietnam War 1976 Quarter Pocket Knife 1

A 1976 Bicentennial Quarter beautifully set into a custom pocket knife with a full-color image that portrays the iconic image of a helicopter in flight over troops against a yellow sky; it comes with a collector tin featuring the same design.
The Vietnam War and active U.S. involvement in the war began in 1954. In 1965, President Johnson made the decision to send U.S. combat forces into battle in Vietnam. By 1968, the U.S. opinion was divided and there were thousands of protests to withdraw the troops and repeal the draft. In 1969, President Nixon started to withdraw the troops, and consequentially the US lost. Over 58,000 US troops and millions of Vietnamese lost their lives. In 1976, Vietnam was unified as the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
In 1976, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Mint issued a one-time-only commemorative quarter. It was the first circulating commemorative quarter in U.S. history. The reverse of the 1976 coin is a special bicentennial design that can never be used again. It features a colonial drummer and a victory torch circled by 13 stars to represent the 13 original states that created the Declaration of Independence and formed the United States of America in 1776. The Quarter bears the dual dates 1776-1976.
The knife is sturdy, reliable, and useful, and it is made to the highest standards. Best of all, it comes in a special presentation tin with the same full-color image on the top.
