2021 MS70 Type II Silver Eagle First Strike of the First 400 Boxes

After 35 years, this famous coin has been refreshed with a new design on the reverse, 2021 Silver Eagle Type II.
To give the new coins an added level of security, they have also been updated with enhanced security features, including a reeded edge variation.

The US Mint reserved a special batch of from the first 400 boxes of Type II Silver Eagles from 2021 production.

These Silver Eagles are designated as "New Design First Strikes". These are the first 200,000 Type II Silver Eagles produced off the presses.

The coins are exactly the same as the Type II 2021 Silver Eagle coins produced this year. There are no privy marks/no different finish. Same dies same strike.

The only way to designate them is to buy a sealed box which will have a sticker on the sealed box. Sticker BF stands for Design B (aka Type II) First Produced.

We arranged for the very best coins from this "special" batch to be immediately graded and certified by ANACS and the coins offered here have been independently graded and certified as perfect Mint State 70 (abbreviated MS70) condition making this one of the rarest and best coins of 2021 Type II First Strike SILVER EAGLES.

The new reverse (tails) design features an eagle as it approaches a landing, carrying an oak branch, as if to add it to a nest. Inscriptions are "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR."
