Two great symbols of America's Freedom - the 1986 Statue of Liberty Silver Dollar & 1987 Constitution Silver Dollar!

Both are struck in .900 silver and are a special, one year only commemorative coin. The 1986 coin features a view of the Statue of Liberty with the main building of Ellis Island in the background. The inscriptions include Liberty, Ellis Island, Gateway to America, In God We Trust, and the date. The reverse of the coin shows the statues hand with a lit torch and the words Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, inscriptions include United States of America, the famous words E Pluribus Unum, and the denomination One Dollar.

The 1987 coin depicts sheets of parchment and a quill pen. The first three words of the U.S. Constitution We the People are featured centrally. Inscriptions around the outer edge of the coin include The U.S. Constitution 200th Anniversary, Liberty, and the dates 1787 and 1987. Above the parchment are the words In God We Trust with an arrangement of thirteen stars below. On the reverse of the coin are 13 diverse people intended to represent the wide cultural and social spectrum of the United States. The inscriptions around the edge include E Pluribus Unum and United States of America.

This pair of silver dollars come in an attractive wooden display box with a Certificate of Authenticity.
