The collection includes four legendary U.S. coins representing the best coin designs of the early 20th century.  All coins are now long out of issue – two for over 100 years – and are rarely encountered by today’s collectors. These are the coins used by our ancestors, and together they make a collection of tremendous importance.

The Indian Head Penny is one of America’s most beloved coins.  A symbol of America’s westward expansion, it depicts Lady Liberty dressed as a Native American.  The last coin was made over a century ago in 1909.

The Lincoln Penny was first minted in 1909 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s birth, and the original design features the coveted “Wheat Ears” reverse. This coin dates from before World War II.

The Liberty Head “V” Nickel was made in the early 20th century until 1912.  The obverse features Liberty, while the reverse includes the Roman numeral “V” ( “5”) within a wreath of cotton, corn, wheat, and tobacco.

The classic Buffalo Nickel was minted from 1913-1938.  Designed by famous sculptor James Earle Fraser, it shows a Native American chief and a massive buffalo.
