Queen Elizabeth II Colorized Silver Eagle 1

NOTE: Will ship by Sept. 23, 2022

On September 8, 2022, Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96. She was the longest reigning monarch in British history and the world’s oldest head of state.

In 1952, at the age of 26, Elizabeth became queen upon the unexpected death of her father George VI.  For 70 years, she was a link to the almost-vanished generation that fought World War II, and she was the only monarch most Britons have ever known.

Immediately upon her death, her 73-year-old son Prince Charles became king and will be known as King Charles III.

The Silver Eagle is a genuine legal tender silver bullion coin struck by the United States Mint.  It has been made each year since 1986 in a limited edition and is now one of the world's most popular silver bullion coins.  The obverse of the 2011 Silver Eagle Dollar features Adolph A. Weinman's famous "Walking Liberty" design that first appeared on U.S. Silver Half Dollars from 1916-1947.  This is one of the most beautiful coin designs of all time, showing Lady Liberty striding forwards in a flowing gown and wrapped by the American flag.  The reverse will depict either the Type I design featuring the Heraldic Eagle or the Type II design featuring the Eagle in Flight.  It is legal tender.
