Gerald R. Ford  served as the 38th President of the United States was appointed vice president in 1973, and roughly nine months later, he was thrust into the presidency when Richard Nixon resigned.  This Gerald R. The Presidential Dollars series celebrates each non-living U.S. President on a golden Dollar coin. Four coins are issued each year.
